I am going to the Pasadena T1 breakthrough event in southern Cali. Is anyone else going?
I’ve been before. They have good speakers and you get to put hands on all the new tech.
I met a diabetes dog there and you can get one for just 1800 US dollars. But that doesn’t include in home training. So yea. I guess I’ll just see them at the event.
Sorry I didn’t see this till it was over. There weren’t a lot of people there maybe 150.
The reason I go generally is to see new tech and hear about advancements and upcoming trials etc
I got to hold and get a feel for the Twist. Looks like it is a decent pump and it uses tidepool. But it’s much bigger than I thought. Twice the size of an omnipod.
A pump that’s built for tidepool is a good hook, but I’m going to wait until they can make it smaller
I also got to see the newest Libre and the newest Medtronic sensors.
Both are incredibly small and that’s a bonus. Doesn’t look much different from dexcom as far as accuracy.
They talked about vertex and transplants etc, but really nothing new.
