No, did not pay more to upgrage. Although the consumables are a little more expensive. Infusion sites sure are!
I am late to this forum! I found out that this issue or having to re-enter time/date is actually connected to the mechanics of the pump’s battery system. My Vibe was replaced under warranty for the same trouble in November 2017. Now that Animas has handed everything over to Medtronic, I am not sure if that warranty would be honoured for you.

It would be nice to have more choice than Medtronics 530 or omnipod. I have a 1 year old animas ping so will try and drag it out.

Tandem has me on their call list and called me recently and asked when I was due for a new pump. I won’t be due until February 2020, but I am in Ontario and my pump and pump supplies are covered under the Assisted Devices Program. I get a grant for 2600.00$. The government might make me wait for 5 years instead of 4. I hope not. I am really excited about this new pump.
