Tell Something Weird About Yourself

I’ll start. I like the smell of rubbing alcohol. It reminds me of doctors’ offices when I was a kid, and subliminally I associate it very strongly with cleanliness.

I have so much hair on my feet that I have to trim them with a beard trimmer

I like the crunchy bitter core of lettuce heads that nobody seems to want.

Oh, another smell I love: diesel.

When I was 14, I lived about 2 blocks from a large Southern Pacific maintenance and staging yard. I spent that summer making friends with the guys who worked there, climbing all over locomotives, and riding up and down the yard on the switch engines. To this day the smell of diesel transports me there back there instantly.

Can’t stand diesel, but I’ve liked the smell of gasoline since I was a little kid.

And who knew this thread would be the place where @Sam19 would out himself as a Hobbit?

But to get this headed in a less olfactory direction: I am and have been since age 16 a huge fan of Captain Beefheart.

I like the smell of tar because it reminds me of my elementary school , where they were always tarring the roofs. But what’s weirder than that is, I couldn’t stand school. So, I can’t figure that out. lol

If I put my pants on before my socks I feel uncomfortable all day. Like, if I put my pants and socks on in the right order and they’re comfy, the same sock/pant combo will be uncomfy for me when put on in the wrong order.

I talk out loud to myself all the time. If I’m caught, I pretend to be talking to the dogs–but no one believes me!

Hey Trudy, that one has me laughing, good one!

Heck, we BOTH do that. :sunglasses:

lol… I do that too, people must think I’m nuts. It helps me remember what I’m supposed to do etc. When Wiz was here I could just talk to him all day because we always had an ongoing conversation all day and night :grinning:

I love visiting my endo. Always have. For most people, they dread this appointment, but I always look forward to them. I love hospitals and my endo is just awesome, so it is always a highlight for me

i am always doing this! my mom came into my room one time when i was in high school demanding to know who else was in my room. and when she found there was no one there, she asked me if i was taking drugs.

When I’m ‘in the zone’ at work (computer programmer) I unconsciously play air viola with my left hand.

I like spicy food. I mean hot. Really, really hot. I’ve eaten stuff that has made my face go numb and it actually hurt both going in and coming out.

ps. Some of you have seen me travel with my own hot sauce.

I like hot food but not to quite that pathological degree. LOL

Hmm. When I’m coding something that requires sustained concentration, one of the cats usually wants to “help” . . .

As a kid, my brothers and I helped unload a truck full of Easter lilies (5000 plants!) one year for our relatives’ retail plant business. To this day, I really dislike the scent of lilies! :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

I truly hate having my picture made. This profile picture of me is probably the only picture of me that I ever ask someone to take. LOL my wife was shocked when I asked her to take it.

You will only find pictures of me where I was caught off guard or I was forced into it.
