Do you test the strips every time you open a new bottle? A new box? Never? Seems wasteful, although we did have a bad batch once; just one bad bottle, not even the whole box.
I never test the strips with control solution. Growing up I didn’t have insurance so every strip was money out of my pocket. Nowadays insurance covers a significant portion of the cost, but I don’t even know if I own any control solution I am sure the “smart” thing to do includes testing the first one out of each bottle to ensure accuracy, etc. but not testing them is a hard habit for me to break lol.

I test one strip with control solution out of every box I open.
Thanks for reminding me! I hardly ever do as I forget to.
I do tests though back to back with the meter to see how close multiple tests are to one another.
We test one out of every bottle. The range is wide, but multiple tests of the same bottle will yield similar results.
Never. I thinks it’s a way to get us to use even more strips & buy solution that quickly expires.
