I’ve been looking through the site and the knowledge here is amazing. I’m looking forward to sharing some of my experiences with all of you. Here is a little bit of information about me. I have been diagnozed with diabetes 15 years ago and been pumping for over 10 years now. I started with the Disetronic because it came with 2 pumps and having a backup pump was putting my mind at ease. I then moved on to Animas (2020 model). I really liked my Animas but decided to give Medtronic a try becuase of the CGM. I just recently received my new pump (Veo) and CGM and I am scheduled for training on it sometimes next week. I’m really excited to get started on the CGM.
hi Tech, glad you're enjoying TuDiabetes. There truly are some amazing people here. I started with the Disetronic too, about 24 years ago. That second pump has saved my you-know-what a few times now, like when I jumped into a swimming pool in the BVIs, not knowing I had a hairline crack in the pump. Of course they even airmailed me a new second pump the next day, even considering where I was. Now I'm using the Spirit.
Please let know what you thing of the Veo, and the CGM. and welcome again!
Welcome to Tu! I'm jealous that you live in a civilized country where you can get a Veo with Enlite (I think that's how it works?) now, instead of waiting for some idiot bureaucrats to yutz around with it.
I've been on the new pump and cgm for 2 days now. It's been great except for being awaken by the pump very early in the morning. I adjusted my low/high range and it should be better now. My only regrets is not switching sooner :).
