Thanks, and news!

First off, i just want to thank everyone for all their kind advice on my last post! Funny thing happened, one night last week i was on my friends laptop, talking to him on AIM, and he wanted to webcam (completely legit, nothing funky people haha), so we were talking and la dee da, i got up to get something and sat back down, and i noticed my pump showed when i stood up, so i basically gathered my courage and said “see this?” and pointed to my lil pumpy…“what your pager?” he said. haha i always get a kick out of that, when people think im wearing a beeper…anyways, i was like yeah, its an insulin pump…i have diabetes.

BAM!

i mean, i put it out their, and he was TOTALLY okay with it. it was SUCHHHHHH a damn relief. i explained how i dont eat normally cause my body is all lame and im really sensitive to glucose and whatnot. he was so kind about everything. which i am so glad about : )

but in other newsssss…

My radio show gets back on air this upcoming week, HOORAY!!! sooooo on the slim chance that there are any other cool diabetics out there who are into Metal, Hardcore, subgenres of that heavier type, then PLEASE pleaseeeeee please tune in, thursday 11pm-1am, on WFNP.org -click on the “tune in live” on the right part of the screen, to stream the radio show live, and you can totally call in and talk in air live. Hey we can even have a chat about diabetes if you want!

im trying to be more open about it. im telling more and more people, and hiding it less, definitively makes life easier. Now if only i could get my BS’s to stop riding a rollercoaster!

oh and i am LOVING my printmaking class. im thinking about switching my major, or at least my concentration to printmaking,. its so awesome : )

Way to go! I’m glad he was cool about it

printmaking?? awesome i’m in visual arts too! I do alot of paintings and photography that revolve around the topic of my diabetes. that’s great you’re proud of it, i too am not ashamed to check my sugar or anything else in public, even shooting insulin doesn’t bother me and if anyone has questions i’m always more than willing to answer them. we should never be ashamed of our diabetes
