I have a big heart for a special friend, named Chris. He’s 10 years old and needs a CGMS. He has medicaid in the State of Kansas for health insurance and it doesn’t pay for a CGMS. Even his doctor says that he needs one and tried to get medicaid to buy him one but they still didn’t. I would like to do a fundraiser for him but I don’t know what since he lives in Lawrence, Ks with his mother and I live in the southwest corner of Kansas. His grandma lives about 35 mimutes from my house. Any ideas???
I think this is a great idea, you might contact the makers of the various CGMS’s. Most people have heard about constant monitoring from the news by now. Bake sales, maybe a grocery store would help, car washes (with kids)… Look at other fund raising efforts in your area, and do something similar.
