Tips on using Dexcom G6 with Tslim

I don’t know anyone personally that is a type one diabetic like me on an insulin pump so its really hard to know any better. My medical team hadn’t told me I’ve done anything wrong and without knowing what “should” be the norm, I’m consciously not aware that something is wrong. This forum is fantastic, I’ve learnt so much and there are moments when I think I’ve been doing this all wrong. I’m quite looking forward to seeing what my sugars look like throughout the day once I start the G6. Hopefully my body doesn’t go all weird on me and have it’s moments of variability which I’ve been experiencing a lot lately (maybe thyroid related).

I still struggle to see how anyone with diabetes can stay within range 24/7 without CGMS, I always thought its not possible but apparently it’s possible - I’m not sure whether this majority or a minority so interested to hear what people have to say. I don’t know whether my dosage is just wrong or I’m doing things wrongly because I certainly am not within range despite eating well, exercising well etc.

Usually for breakfast I don’t eat anything too sweet or heavy or processed. Maybe toast or a dinner roll with egg and cheese and avocado, and a half a cup of milk. I find I don’t have energy without the carbs and feel hungry a lot sooner.
