I listened to a great video about toilet paper production. It explained toilet paper has a finely tuned manufacturer production line of exactly what was needed to produce a fairly constant not changing demand.
So in other words it wasnât easy to increase production of specific products. Part of toilet paper made was for commercial use. Huge rolls for toilet paper dispensaries in stalls at employers, concert halls, sports facilities etc. Individual wrapped for smaller commercial use businesses. And those just arenât in demand now. Add on more people are at home using home toilet paper so it raised the demand of certain products. So trying to ramp up production wasnât actually that easy,
Someone told me that if you call Costco before they open, they can tell you if they received their stock for that day or not. I did, and was able to get a large pack. They were limiting it to one pack of TP and one of paper towels per membership.
Our Costco got some in as well as Safeway. We actually got to buy the kind we preferred.
