Just wanted to find out if anyone knows of any groups in Toronto or the GTA where you can connect with other diabetics? Until I joined TuD I had never actually spoken to another T1D, and it has been so wonderful to chat with all of you, I wanted to parlay that into something else...
I have also never been a part of any kind of fundraising or special event days for Diabetes, and I would really love to become more a part of things...

I have really enjoyed getting involved with JDRF Toronto over the past couple years. They have a couple of big annual fundraising events, as well as a research symposium coming up March 29th. You can fill out a volunteer interest form and they'll contact you when there are opportunities. I was about 14 years in before realizing how isolated I was, so I know how it is! It's really helpful and refreshing to share experiences.
