So I'm just now hearing about Toujeo. Does anyone here know much about it? First impression is its just dressed up Lantus (glargine) Is there more to it than that? Anyone well read on the subject?

Sam - It's U300 basal insulin. It's way more concentrated than I need; U100 works well for me. I only take about 13 units of basal per day.

Toujeo has the same active ingredient as Lantus, called insulin glargine, but at three times the concentration and with a design to release the insulin more gradually. [emphasis added]

I think Toujeo is targeted more for insulin resistant type IIs.

I've decided to delay considering any MDI regimen until I get the Afrezza dialed in for my meal bolus.
