That’s awesome to hear. Thanks @Robyn_H!
I see where you can attach the Mobi directly to your skin. Would the heat of your body temperature have any negative consequences for the insulin in the cartridge?
Probably not those using Pods don’t seem to have any problems. My pump is always under my clothes clipped to a thin elastic belt. Some women clip their pumps to their bras.
I attach my mobi with wig tape double sided tape. And it works perfectly. I can also pull it off and reattach it in a different spot, but can only do this maybe 3 times before the tape stops sticking. I use wig tape because I want to be sure it’s ok to put on my skin.
I clipped the Mobi on a thin elastic belt. I didn’t notice any negative impact. Bubbles may be formed anyway per Tandem. I then switched to a double side wig tape because it was more comfortable, relatively to the elastic belt or Tandem’s sleeve. However, bubble appears in the cartridge more frequently. Any heat sources above room temperature could contribute to the bubble formation. It could be the 110+ deg F hot showering water splashed onto the Mobi. The body heat of ~98.6 deg F also contributes to the bubble formation, especially when wearing heavy cloths in the winter time. The thin wig tape may not provide the same insulation as Tandem Mobi’s sleeve, which has a hard plastic piece on top of the adhesive taps. If a bubble blocks the cartridge outlet/the 5" tube inlet, insulin won’t flow into the cannula nicely. You will have a difficulty to lower your blood sugar.
hi - I’d love to see your videos please! I’m about to start using my Mobi in the next few days. thanks.
Has this improved for you since you posted this? I started using the Mobi pump in Sept 2024 (first time ever on a pump) and I have the same issue if I eat high carb meals. I do try to bolus well ahead of time (assuming BGLs aren’t already at or near low) but it shocks me how stubbornly high my levels can get - sometimes for hours on end - before finally dropping. Most times I change out my tubing set when this happens and most of the time, there has been nothing wrong with it
Yes it has gotten better since I posted. The algorithm seems to be setting in. I am peri menopausal so my hormones are doing a number on me as well. But, I have had way more time in range in the last few months for sure!

This comming from a man who is way past midlife crisis your issue with high BGs may be a problem with increased cortisol levels. I know that this will increase cellular resistance to insulin in both T1DM and T2DM from personal experience,
Curently I am on the taper off after being on a high dose of predniisone. I am a T2DM using a Tandeem X2 pump… I have had to increase my cartridge fill and extre 100u to last 3 days. In addition because I hope my original pump settings will be appropriate when I am off this stuff, I am using some Lantus by injection and when I get great big spikes a couple of hours after eating, I do an intermuscular injection of rapid in the deltoid muscles.
I am not suggesting that you do what I am. In fact my endo iis probably going to go ballistic ( maybe not he is a calm guy). I just do what works for me.

Hope it helps, I have been affected with a life long terminal disease, malignant curiosity
It drives my wife nuts, “Why do you need to know THAT?”
Haha!
