here’s another one from the curezone http://curezone.com/dis/1.asp?C0=110
you are depressed, if you are unhappy, you can not be healthy. Advice: start with the Laughing cure!
Laughing provides us with the natural inner massage, and through change of mood it can account for up to 30% of cure!
>>A big f’ing rock came out of me and I know it wasn’t something I ate, nor did I ‘make it’ in my digestive tract overnight.
See, the problem is, you don’t know that – that’s what you believe, which is something completely different.
>>Formal studies are for people who have money. And if you can’t figure out how having a healthy liver can help your body…uh, I can’t help you.
No, formal studies are for people who have evidence. And as a biologist, I am sure that I’m fully capable of understanding how a healthy liver can help my body. Is your vast liver knowledge, like your evidence of a cure, completely web-based?
And yes, sir, it is your obligation to support your claims with evidence, not mine. The link that you provided in response above proves nothing. I can post on any website a list and percentages of known biological substances and claim that they came flying out of wherever but that doesn’t make it true.
The information that you have posted here is at best irrelevant, and at worst dangerous to diabetics who must closely monitor their diet and who may become gravely ill by following your methods, and those like them. Diabetes has been described as a “disease of numbers” because of the close, evidence-based monitoring involved in the day-to-day management of the disease. Provide some real numbers, sir, and you may find your results more readily accepted in this community.
Let me also be very clear: if this method makes you, Next Dimension, feel better, then more power to you. But please do not make assertions here that you cannot support with evidence.
Ok, that all sounds real nice. My point is that everyone wants me to prove something, and there is nothing to prove. I posted information about what I did, and what happened. That’s about it. Anything beyond that, and it’s up to the reader to figure out. So quit telling me that this proof is my obligation. It’s my obligation to do what I do to create unlimited health for myself, and if anyone is interested I’ll share. You can either believe me or not.
Also, I’m not posting links to PROVE anything. I post links and write my words to SHARE information. THAT’S IT. Simple and done.
Hey, maybe after my next flush, I’ll mail you a rock and YOU can have it analyzed. But then I could say you have no proof that you had it analyzed. What a mess of conversation this thread has become, only Michele asked a nice question in the first reply and then it turned into a bunch of jerks putting words in my mouth and wanting me to prove everything.
The epsom salts are used to dilate and relax the bilary ducts in order for the stones/bile formations to move into the small intestine. If epsom is not agreeable with you, then research to see if Magnesium Citrate is ok, it will work as well and is also available at the drugstore. As you can see in this thread, many people are opposed to things I speak about (and opposed to me in general) but there is enough information out there for you to learn on your own. Powdered malic acid, mixed in water, may be a better option if the Apple Juice regime does not fit into your blood sugar needs. Cranberry juice can be used as well.
Hi Terry, thanks for posting those. First, I believe the American Cancer Society to be one of the most biased organizations that exists. Along with any of the other Amercian “…” Societies/Associations. They are self limiting, close minded and dominated by specific interest groups who are more interested in money than creating health. They create within them the beuracratic mess of very slow progress with regard to new thinking.
From their site: [re: toxin removal] “this view is not consistent with modern concepts of how DNA mutations cause cancer to develop and progress”. If one actually starts to research WHY the DNA starts to mutate, they will eventually see that cancer is a highly efficient survival mechanism that the body instills in order to sustain life. Cancer and all diseases are being looked at the wrong way in our current views and unless we change those views, we shall never be free from these diseases. Apologies for the tangent here.
The About.com article is someone who tried this flush once and had someone tell them what their stones were. Since you are all into the evidence thing, there was not one bit of evidence in that article to make me believe them. He ends the article with the usual “don’t do it or else you’ll go to the emergency room”.
Quackwatch needs to be Quackwatched itself. This site is SO biased; every other article is written by the same guy who started the site, Stephen Barrett, who is a retired psychiatrist. And every other writer is an MD with a very biased opinion.
I don’t know about the curezone comment, maybe it was a typo, maybe she doesn’t know what she’s talking about.
If you want to be taken seriously, then don’t make false assertions (especially ones that are so widely known to be false by knowledgeable people). You clearly were not informed in the power of placebos, which is why your other assertions and claims are also of doubtful validity.
As for the “hard as hell” object that came out of you, that’s an entirely separate unknown. Without analysis by someone actually trained in pathology, your guess as to it’s origin or material is based completely on hearsay. Maybe you swallowed some small rocks mixed in with your salad that day.
Show me some data of people who were diagnosed with gallstones (through an ultrasound scan), did the liver cleanse, and then had another ultrasound scan that failed to detect any gallstones (or detected a noticeable decrease). And if you can tack on a lab report of the “hard as hell” objects that came out actually being gallstones, then you’ll have real evidence. Given the obvious popularity of liver cleansing, this doesn’t seem like an excessive amount of evidence to support such a claim.
You went well beyond merely stating what you did and how you felt. You went into untenable explanations and false assertions that you knew things you really don’t. If you simply said, “I drank all this apple juice with Epsom salt and this came out my butt. Now I feel better”, there would be no argument. There are many plausible explanations for how that might happen. But when you start claiming it couldn’t possibly be a placebo affect (which is false) or I know it’s a gallstone (which is false) then you need to provide evidence. As other have said, you’re recommending things you don’t really understand to people with a serious disease. I’m glad you feel good, but your non-evidence based assertions could lead some to harm.
"If one actually starts to research WHY the DNA starts to mutate, they will eventually see that cancer is a highly efficient survival mechanism that the body instills in order to sustain life. Cancer and all diseases are being looked at the wrong way in our current views and unless we change those views, we shall never be free from these diseases. "
Fascinating. Please, give me a place where I can start looking into this concept. You can put your response on my page if you don’t want this thread to fly off on a new tangent.
That’s true, but I don’t seek advice on a foot problem from someone who is a history professor. If that history professor had first hand knowledge of dealing with foot problems, perhaps I would.
My listing of reasons the post disturbed me perhaps was unclear; I feel either of those criteria would make it a good post, not both.
Liver flushes are unrelated to diabetes, and as nextdimension does not have diabetes, I fail to see the relevance of his posting.
my son laughs all the time and still has to take insulin He’s the one that makes me laugh the most. I know it’s good for you but it sure as hell is not 30% of a cure, that link is for diabetes.
Dear Friends:
Most of the posts from the last day or so are starting to go in circles or are completely tangential to the original topic. Let’s try to keep the discussion on topic and, if there’s nothing else to add to the thread, let’s please move on.
Far more likely an explanation is that the various chemicals in the “liver cleanse” combine in such a way as to precipitate into chunks.
Anyone who has ever had a stone in any duct–and I’m talking stones MUCH smaller than the rocks this fellow dug out of his crap–knows they are excruciatingly painful. And how such stones in the liver or gallbladder would be able to get into the intestine from the gallbladder without causing agony of the type that leads to major ER trips I leave as an exercise for the reader. How “stones” in the liver would go anywhere is another question.
I think the most likely explanation here is that the stones are formed in the gut thanks to precipitation and pass through the gut.
Thanks for putting your finger on WHY this crackpot advice is DANGEROUS TO PEOPLE WITH DIABETES.
The chemicals in the “liver flush” as explained in the excellent links provided above CAUSE the precipitation of stones. If even tiny stones precipitate in the kidneys, you would be in serious trouble.
People with diabetes often have micro-destruction in the filtration units of the kidneys which make it possible that substances that would not enter the kidney in a person without diabetes could enter theirs.
This person, out of ignorance, one hopes, is endangering people here who have a condition he does not understand at all.
Lindsay, for the epsom salt I have already suggested that diabetics should research Magnesium Citrate to see if this is ok for them. There is also advice for people to do kidney cleansing before doing the liver cleanse, as to keep toxins that are releasing from the liver from putting an increased burden on the kidneys. You have to do your own research, and take time to learn, not come to this board and accept everything I post as the word.
For the apple juice and blood sugar situation, you can easily use food grade malic acid in powdered form, mixed with water to soften and prepare the stones/formations that are blocking bile flow within your liver and gallbladder.
