Weekly check in!

Hola all!

Just stopping by to see how everyone is coping with the craziness we have been living the past couple of weeks. A lot of people working from home, kids out of school, no sports, no social events…

How do you stay busy, active and have you done any changes to your diabetes management?

Be safe everyone!

I’ve been more sedentary than usual, so I’ve had to increase my Lantus basal doses earlier in my monthly hormone cycle than usual. I’ve decided to hold off using Afrezza for now, so I’m only using Humalog for boluses and corrections.

I’m thinking about finding a yoga video later today to try and be more active. I usually go swimming, but I think it’s best to just stay inside right now. Yoga might help bring some peace of mind in this chaotic time too :slightly_smiling_face:

My partner and I are luckily able to telework. We live in the upper levels of a large apartment complex in the middle of the city, so we’re limiting our time outside because it is difficult to maintain social distance when entering and exiting the building as well as walking around outside near our building.

We set out a large puzzle of an M. C. Escher drawing on the table, and we’ve been picking away at it the last few days. That’s been fun!

All 3 kids out of school. The two college kids supposedly have online classes when that gets set up… maybe in the next week. The high school kid, they haven’t announced online classes but I really hope it gets set up.

Supposedly I’m working from home too today, but emergencies of course come up and today I came into DC to work.

Just went out to grab lunch and many restaurants in DC are closed down already, or will be closing down soon.

Saw my endo last Wednesday (regular visit), and she estimated 60% or more of the population will sooner or later get Covid-19. She made sure I knew my sick plan and who to call and how to deal.
