What food(s) do you have an ADDICTION TO?

Agree, I’m almost afraid to have my mom come visit because I will make her make sweet plantisns…drool!,

Salad  but sometimes I’m too lazy to make it

dryers “1/2 the fat” butter pecan ice cream… can only have 1/2 cup, but we take what we can get!

i think salad is about the best thing we could be addicted too, so long as it’s not ham salad, chicken salad, Oooh, jello salad…

Hey Carly, we need to call another Peanut M&M day. I suggest July 8? I will do four.

Rick, that sounds like great idea! Next Thursday it is!

Let me tell yall something it is hard to have a 4th of July celebration with out some BBQ PORK RIBS all slathered with BBQ sauce. Lips smacking and sticky fingers…but I am on a diet.>>>>>>

Crab legs and champagne sounds real interesting!!!

July 8 it is. I have my peanut M & M machine all staked out.

Someone sent me this today from the Chicken Soup for the Soul Cookbook by Marc David :
" As you eat, know that you are feeding more than just a body. You are feeding the soul’s longing for life, its timeless desire to learn the lessons of earthly existence – love and hate, pleasure and pain, fear and faith, illusion and truth – through the vehicle of food. Ultimately, the most important aspect of nutrition is not what to eat, but how our relationship to food can teach us who we are and how we can sustain ourselves at the deepest level of being " .
I hope this fits in here, I can easily remove .

Tomatoes are actually fruits, not a veggie. Kind of sweet and savory all at once. And a good source of vitamin C. Maybe we are craving the sweet, maybe we need the vitamin C. They are a base for many ethnic dishes. I’m hungry, have to stop.

THIS IS TOTALLY FINE!!!

More people should read this and COMPREHEND the message. Especially in the US where food is plentiful we have totally twisted the purpose of foods in our lives. Not to mention manufacturers have totally doctored foods into being something totally different than what came from the ground.

I’m CURRENTLY addicted to Dannon’s Light & Fit Yogurt and the various flavors of Atkins bars. If the question is what I HAD an addiction to, it would be candy bars like Snickers or Mallo Cups. I also had to give up my 12 packs of Miller High Life for occasional cans. I haven’t had to totally give up or cut out anything in my diet so long as I use moderation and common sense. Being a diabetic isn’t the end of life… it’s the beginning of a new healthier life. I’ve made swaps along the way but I can have baked chicken wings without having them deep fried. I can have a little candy now and then. I can even have cheesecake (regular or sugar free) if I eat to live instead of live to eat.

what are mallo cups…sounds interesting!!!
right now I have a craving for fried wontons!!

they are like reese cups but with marshmallow instead of peanut butter. uhm good stuff, instant sugar rush.

wow this sounds interesting and addictive…can you do this macadamian butter instead…

apple fritters

Ok, I listed most of mine earlier in the thread but left out one embarrasing item…Ramen noodles. Been addicted to the chicken noodle soup since my frosh year at college. A friend makes a sweet salad with the noodles called “oriental salad” and, God help me, I’ve actually spent time on the recipie website - yum. Guess Alan has nothing to fear from me at a dinner party.

I’m sure oyu could, but whether oyu can get them in a vending machine is another story.

ah yes, i love those too, with some raisins too
