So I know it seems like a long way off, but it’s never too soon to start preparing for World Diabetes Day 2011. Want to get your city involved and light up prominent landmarks with the rest of the world. Well our DHF Ambassador from Germany, Holger, has helped make that a little bit easier. He has been kind enough to draft a letter you can use to take to city officials in your town to get them to participate in World Diabetes Day. Download the letter here: Light Your City Blue.doc
Do you have other ideas that you will be doing to get people involved next November? Tell us about them!

I love the letter and I have some connections at the BCBSIL office in Chicago, the building lit up with “USA” during Obamapalooza, “Go Sox” in 2005 and “Go Illini” during their #2 NCAA hoops season. Since it’s “Blue” Cross, it would make sense? I’ll see what I can do! I can’t get over the fact that it’s the logo from the Germs’ album though…heh heh heh…
I think we have some potential. I’m not sure I can get “What We Do is Secret” on their addenda but blue will be popular. I will make sure I don’t hit golf balls through the blue windows…
That sounds great acidrock23!
