Would rather have an e-ink screen on a pump as it would save power (a huge bonus) and would be far better than the Garmin screens in direct sunlight (I really loath mine unless you crank the brightness to max...which empties the battery).
Ping user here-I wish it would tell me how much insulin is on on board as well as how much insulin is left in the cartridge on the remote, not just the pump... The whole purpose of the remote is to do things discreetly and if I still have to pull my pump out to see this information that kind of defeats it's purpose.
All pumps should allow:
1 button access to its bolus menu
multiple simultaneous extended boluses
automatic calculation of Super Boluses
meal presets that include Normal bolus, Combo, and/or Extended
A more compact version of this Bubble Removal System on a pump.
Same, it is annoying you can't say set initial doses to come in after 30mins, than a second and a third dose for something you are eating etc which you know due to the ingredients will need multiple doses at different times that a dual wave and the like can't deal with.
I am comfortable with the features on my Son's 530g, the only thing I really, really, really want is for the cgm data to go to my phone.... the mysentry isn't reliable and sometimes we just don't hear the alarms..... especially if he is laying on the pump....
I have a minimed, it has worked great, they use infusion sets which are a tube connected to the pump where the insulin reservoir is, a needle is inserted under your skin with tape to stick, the infusion set I use is the silhouette.
