There was a new kid on the block...she came in making a big splash in 2010, and nothing much has been heard from her since. You know who I'm talking about...right? Coco...the wee monkey in the attached picture!
Has she been spotted anywhere? Was she a featured guest on any talk shows?
Is anyone out there a Coco-olic? Where is she hiding?
Not here downunder
I just did a google search for her, and not a single result later than 2011. D-Moms were VERY excited when she was introduced, and several book were published in collaborations with Disney and Lilly.
but you're right Linda WHERE IS COCO?
Here’s a link to the release of another Coco book in July 2012: “Coco Goes Back to School”

This blog post by Bennet Dunlap and some of the comments discussed the need to get these books more widely distributed.
At some point in the last year one of the blog fests (or whatever it was called where all the bloggers answer the same question) had all of the bloggers suggest who the next character should be in the Coco books. Maybe you can find that it you wander around the web with Google.
Okay I've been running with a different crowd. Because when I saw the headline, this is what I thought of.
lol...wrong Coco!! OUR Coco is small, has a long tail, and LOVES bananas!
I don't know, but I just got a Medtronic Lenny the Lion. As to why Medtronic thinks that a 53 year old T2 needs a bear is beyond me. But the bear is really cute and well made. I understand that it is a build-a-bear. If someone knows a child in the DC are that would like Lenny, he is still sealed in his original packaging, let me know. Just send me a message.
Is this like a predecessor of TuD? I sort of get the marketing strategy, if that's what it is, but I sort of filter out things like cartoons, pictures (except in threads...) and advertisements when I'm looking at webpages.
Coco is a young toy monkey with type 1 diabetes! A Disney character...and not affiliated with TuDiabetes.
Hey Brian, I never got my Lenny! I have just the right kid in mind for him too!
I got Dr. Kaufman's book, sort of when I'd forgotten I'd requested one so it may still be in the works?
What makes you think that Conan isn't small, doesn't have a long tail, and doesn't love bananas?!
So you think I've been Lenny'd cause I registered for the book? Interesting. I thought it was because my wife let them know I was childish.
Hmmm maybe because I requested Lenny but not the book :) But then AR didn't get just the book either. I want my Lenny!!!!
The Lily Diabetes Summit is currently going on in Indianopolis. There is a lot of Twitter news in the DOC saying that tomorrow there will be a press release about the Coco books. Here’s the tweet from Lorraine @colcalli:
