I suppose I should go about writing something here. You know, actual content.
I’ve always fancied myself more of a humorist or satirist than someone who writes baleful pleas about the dire state of affairs. That said, I do think there is room for humor in living with diabetes. This past weekend, as my wife and I went out to lunch at a local restaurant, I got an embarassed and shocked look from an employee there who told me, “I can’t believe you’re wearing that shirt!”
What shirt, I’m sure my gentle readers will ask? This one that my lovely wife got me at the end of last year.
At first I was wondering if she (the employee) thought it was one of those regular “I’m with stupid” shirts that points to another person. Then I figured it out, and why she was blushing at the shirt. The arrow is in the front, pointing down. And the pancreas is an organ that’s shaped not entirely unlike another organ that also begins with ‘p’ and ends with ‘s’; one that also more often has stupidity attributed to it.
I chuckled at the realization.
LOL! That is GREAT!
I too think there is a lot of room for funny in the things we do to keep going. And fellow D’ers often share the same sense of sick humor about it all.
It’s awesome.
Nice to read you. I like you SICK sense of humor
