You All Are Great!

I have been using the Wal-Mart brand test strips because the Freestyle Strips are too expensive. Well, I was reading some older posts about the Freestyle Strips and learned that via the Freestyle Promise Program I can still get a rebate from them even if I use Medco and mail order prescriptions. Basically I get a $50 rebate for each 3 month supply. They come out cheaper than my insurance’s preferred brands of strips. So very awesome!!!
Even better: My insurance does not limit how many times a day I can test and the cost is the same for 600 or 1000 for the 3 month supply!!
Thank you all so very much for posting your experiences at one time or another. It is all so very valuable.

PS
Went to the endo on Wednesday for the 1st time in my life. He told me to keep doing what I am doing and he will no change a thing. I am going to take advantage of his pump trainers and diabetes educators. Take what I can use from wherever I can get it.
Thanks again,
marty

Well thank you for being a member of the community as well! Keep doing what you’re doing man, and def take advantage of those resources from your endo’s office!

Thank you!! A1c is down to 5.5 and sample was taken right after a trip to Jamaica and 3 weeks of bronchitus and allergic reactions to antibiotics!!!

5.5 is rockin’! That’s fantastic. Esp in light of the reasons you mentioned w/ being sick. Very cool!

Good luck, Marty…sounds like we can all learn plenty from you as well.

How awesome is that? Thanks so much.
