Just realized it’s my 49’th anniversary with Type I, right about now. The deal was, I would go to the hospital to get started on insulin (7 whole days back then) and after that Mom would enroll me in the ballet school behind our new house. 25 yrs of ballet, and a degree in theater arts, I guess I got something from the deal. But I sure was bored in that hospital.
