It has been a good while since I was on here but I just wanted to let you know that after 29 cycles of trying unsuccessfully on our own, we completed our first cycle of IVF and it worked! We are absolutely thrilled. I have met with the endo twice since we found out and unbelieveably I have managed to get my HbA1c down to 6.3% in the last few weeks which is the best its ever been. I have done nothing different since ttc and while ttc for the last 2 and a half years I only managed to get it between 7.4% and 6.8%....
It did worry me that IVF and diabetes would be difficult to manage but it wasnt as bad as I had thought it would be. I have fingers and toes crossed that our little bean will stay put and that we'll have a healthy 7 1/2 months ahead.
I just want to wish everyone on this thread who are looking to become pregnant the best of luck and remember, it doesnt matter which route it takes to get there (we took the scenic one), what is meant to be will be. I truely believe that.
