Utter insanity! Even if Missy was T2, BG that high after surgery would require insulin to get it down. My head is throbbing. Send in the attorneys pronto before this doc strikes again.
THOUGHT? Don’t they look at incoming medical information in this ICU? Shocking. I don’t understand this!
These screw-ups were major league. The on-duty doc is in deep doo-doo. Frankly, I wouldn’t want him to care for my algae in a fish tank. I feel the need for some sort of patient care legislation. The hospital can go pound their policy. At this point, Missy doesn’t also need DKA on top of everything else. If I’m not unconscious, I’ll do my own insulin, thank you. I have this strong desire to line each of those ICU folk up against the wall and slap my way from one end to the other and back. If I don’t feel better, I’ll do it again.

Ridiculous errors made there. This was a scheduled surgery after all.
With a heavy but hopeful heart, I pray that Our Sweet Missy will be lifted into a Wonderful Recovery in short time. My thoughts and prayers also, to give John an their Family strength through this sad and stressful time. Warm (((Hugs))) to all!

Just home from being at the SPCA this afternoon . Had to read it 3 x , that the Medical Staff omitted to give insulin to Missy and still cannot believe this .Something during the process went awfully wrong.
Missy was on my mind during every brush stroke I gave the dogs .
Metformin can cause kidney failure if an MRI is given with contrast. So, I hope they didn’t compound their stupidity with gross negligence!
My thoughts and prayers are with Missy and her family at this stressful time.

Missy’s BG is better, and she is finally on her pump… but still having a fee seizures… She still needs our prayers. Love ya Missy.

Please grant them the blessing of being able to overcome life’s obstacles, and share a life together. Lord, you are above all things and are in charge of all outcomes… And we pray that you lessen the anguish in Missy and John’s life, at this time. We ask that you would please… deliver them from all this pain, and misfortune, and that you would show them how great is your mercy and your healing. We do abide by your will, in all things… But as people of faith, we ask in all things, and pray in all things… We ask you to please… Bring a healing miracle, as you have shown before, in John’s critical condition, right now… and in Missy’s health, too. We ask for these things, in your name… Amen.
