Now then…I wish my infusion set was multi colored. . Seriously. If the part that comes off was a different color than the part that stays stuck on me I could see the color difference when I’m trying to reattach the parts. As it is now, partly cuz of how I’m shaped and partly cuz my cataract repair job left me with a fuzzy focal length whenever I try to focus on something about 18” to 2’ from my eyes, it’s hard for me to see how the two parts fit together.
Obvioulsy this isn’t a big deal but I’m serious that in my opinion it’d be a nice to have feature.
Anyway…one last thing on college playoff semi finals day: GO BLUE!
Mine are different colored. I get the pink Autosoft XC sets from Tandem. The part that disconnects is pink, while the part it plugs into and everything else is white. They also come in gray and blue.
I agree that color contrast at the point of connection can help those of us with aging eyes. I use the Medtronic Silhouette sets which have the same clear plastic color on both sides. My near eyesight is also impaired and I’d love to be able to do this without glasses.
Further complicating alignment on the first attempt is that this infusion set is not symmetrical and will only connect in one direction. Seems I usually try the wrong way first! I wonder what purpose, if any, that this deliberate asymmetry serves.
Thank you! I never knew that different colors meant that one part of each was different. I just assumed it meant the entire thing was all one color, just not grey! I gotta remember to RTFM!
I had to take 2 shipments of Autosoft 90’s, as Byram was out of stock of the XCs too. But then I talked to their CS, and was told that they could indeed ship the XCs again, so my last shipment that came was XC and the one that’s currently shipping is also XC.
I’m still trying to kill off the 90s, though. Happy to see them go. (And really hoping my original comment was true about the prongs, because I’m assuming they’re also pink, but can’t remember 100%) If they’re going to choose just one to keep making, it needs to be the XCs. I’ve never heard of a single person who had tried both and prefers the 90s. Unfortunately, I know the 90s are still the most popular, because of how many people haven’t even tried the XCs.
Yeah me too. I still prefer the XCs. Easier for me to unfasten the parts. No luck so far getting any though. I use CCS Medical and they’re very supportive of my wishes but if they don’t got any they don’t got any!
