i am currently using the MM Paradym Pump. i have used 3 diff models of the metronic pumps, and i have been pumping for almost 15 years now. it never dawned on me to investigate other companies and their “equipment” until i made friends w/ another pumper who used the POD. it didn’t interest me at all. but now that i am on line w/ TuD, i am hearing a lot about different pump choices, the diff reasons why people prefer diff pumps, etc. and, this PING pump sounds kind of a winner. currently, i also use the Dexcom CGM sensor, which i like very much. i don’t know if other pumps are compatible w/ the sensor or not.
anyone out there that could explain some of this to me? i would love to know about the features of the different pumps that make them good personal choices for the many diff people who are using them. thanks a ton. hope to hear from you soon.

Get to see the actual pump and hopefully test drive it for a bit. I just sent one back after a 30 day trial because it was simply wrong for me. You need a good understanding of the features and maybe a discussion with a nurse, Dr., CDE or rep to understand the features and make the best choice for you.
Hi Daisy,
I have had animas pumps for a long time now, so maybe I can help you out!
First of all, the ping is not integrated with the dexcom. The animas vibe is the only pump that is integrated with the dexcom at this moment in time.
The main differences between the animas ping and the animas vibe are that the animas vibe is integrated with the dexcom and the ping is not, but the ping has a meter remote which the vibe does not have.
The reasons I personally like animas is because it does have the smallest basal increments (.025u) and it is waterproof.
I have personally never used any other type of pump besides animas, so I cannot personally judge if any other types of pumps are better.
