I think this advice is worth repeating and stressing. Insulin breaks down over time as it is exposed to heat. The longer it’s in close proximity to your body (98+ degrees, minimum), the more it’ss breaking down and becoming less effective. Also there is the sterility issue; remember that you’re injecting this stuff under your skin, which is your primary defense against infection. To me, saving a few dozen units is NOT worth the risks of re-using it after a couple/few days. I do it, but only if the pod is less than a day old.
I’m new to the Pod (5 mos) and it was introducing “my new friend-the pod” to my husband. Definitely was uber-careful, and now its no biggie. I put my hand over it some times if we are having a lot of fun! HA!
On a side note, my hubby got me a small fanny pack- for exercise just to cover it - and I used it zip-lining the other day and it worked like a charm!
