"There's an app for that," as the saying goes.
I've been using OnTrack for over a year and I like it a lot.
I like that I can record my BS levels, carb counts, meds taken, exercise and even what I ate all on my phone. It's portable and compact.
I like that OnTrack takes my info and charts it onto graphs that make it easy to see how I'm doing over the last week, month and quarter. It's very flexible. I can define what BS level I consider high and low. This was really helpful as I worked on bringing my levels down because I could see how I was doing agains my goals and not some arbitrary standard.
I like that OnTrack takes my info and puts it in a file that I can export to Excel. So if I really want to get nerdy I can analyze my data further. Yes, I've printed out graphs for my doctor and dietician.
I like that OnTrack seems really accurate. My last A1C results tracked closely with what OnTrack calculated. Of course I had to be diligent about recording my BS levels and honest enough to include all of them, not just the "good" ones.
I like that OnTrack is free and available through the Android Marketplace. The developer does accept donations however.
What Android apps do you use to help manage your diabetes? And how do you like them?
