I use a leather flip phone case from CaseLogic similar to this:

This looks like a reasonable solution. I do have one question, if you don't mind. Has this case ever become disconnected from your belt unintentionally? I'm wondering how firmly the clip adheres to the belt. A common time when the pump/case may disconnect is getting in and out of the car -- in and around seat-belts.
I've never had a problem, and I sometimes feel like I need to be a yoga guru to get out of my car because it's low to the ground and small.
It looks like a good alternative, and inexpensive, too. Thanks.
I've also posted on the Animas pump group but I decided to try the Roche Accu-Check Spirit clip case. It arrived today. My Ping fits in well, and I've been wearing it about 8 hours - so too soon to tell. It is a holster (much like the one I liked so much from Cozmore) fairly low profile, and can rotate so the pump is horizontal - which I prefer, I'm small. I'll report as I wear it.
i have subjected mine to serious abuse and wasn't ever thinking it could break. Now i know from you guys to take good care of it
Great, I can't wait to hear how it works out! Accuchek may be selling a whole lot of cases after this...
I was feeling lucky I've had my clip for 2 1/2 years without problem. But then I read in another thread that people were having it break after hooking it onto a belt. I wouldn't even expect it to work on a belt which is much too thick!
I am doing updates (so to speak) on the Animas board, under the heading "I found a holster for my Ping" I admit I went kinda crazy posting my news on three or four different threads. Meanwhile, so far so good. It works best with a belt, so it is a good alternative to the Animas clip which works well wioth just fabric.
Zoe, the Accu-Chek holster works well with a belt. See my updates on the Animas Board "I found a holster for my Ping" I like the fact that the Accu-Chek rotates to horizontal, and can accommodate a belt. I like having choices.
I wasn't talking about the holster, artwoman, which I know nothing about. I was commenting on that Animas Board that a couple people that had broke their clip said it had happened after clipping it to a belt which to me seems obviously like it will break it!
I too got fed up with the crazy clips, so I got a Nite Ize eCLIPse Self Locking Clip from amazon, it comes with a 3M VHB adhesive. I adhered it to the right side (if looking at the back) the 3M adhesive lasted a couple of months or so then I wound up with a foam double sided sticky tape worked like a charm. The one thing of note is I clip this to undergarments it is a very thin clip, the locking feature is great but I did have a hole in one article I clipped it to, so I took a emory board to smooth the points down on it. OK so this sounds like a lot of work for a clip right? It was well worth having a clip I know won't fall off in a business meeting or just hanging around with people that may or may not know I have a pump. Even if I change the Adhesive every couple of months TOTALLY worth it. I swim with it and used it on vacation for over a week in salt water no issues.
That problem with clipping the Animas clip to a belt (and the fact that I prefer to have my pump horizontal (I'm somewhat short waisted, and would pinch the tubing when I bent over) is why I have hunting for a holster that would rotate and accommodate a belt. My first pump, a Cozmore, had the best holder (aside from other great progranmming features) Anyway, I digress (as usual). The Accu-chek holster does fit nicely on a belt, and now I alternate.
Some have mentioned others beside Animas, and I am having similar issues. Belt clips do not work for me, so found the most comfortable keep for my paradigm is chest harness. The only one I found that works for me is sold by Medtronic. This device uses cheap low carbon metal for the snaps. Use about six months-severely weakened by rust, then failure.
