Any other diabetics with cancer?

I am currently battling stage 3 colon cancer. I was diagnosed on January 9, 2009 after undergoing emergency surgery to remove 18 inches of my colon. I am now doing six months of chemotherapy.

I started a group called diabetics with cancer. So far I’m the only one! I was wondering if anyone else here has dealt with cancer and diabetes.

Hi Brian,

Happy to see you here! Have been thinking of you & wondering how you’re doing.

Wonderful idea for a group. Sure you’re not the only one,

Six months of chemo:(

Here is a link to the group that Brian created. Hope that others will find you and join.

It’s a possibility that I have squamous cell skin cancer but I won’t know til Wednesday. I’m on edge but I am hoping. Both the DR and the nurse practitioner didn’t like what they saw when the did the biopsy.
Siiiiiigggggghhhhhhhhh!

Good luck to you and the Lord keep you.

Brian , I am a person , diagnosed with breast cancer in 1984 , a year plus after diagnosis of type 1 diabetes . I had a modified mastectomy of the right breast . I might add , that I got married to my best supporter Feb. 2 , 1985 …ground Hog Day  I received 16 treatments of radiation …all this prior, during and after the wedding . Never planned to do have breast reconsrtuction as I had to go through surgery again and I felt , that 25 years ago that was a bad option for me . I wish you a speedy recovery with loved ones around you who are supporting you all the way …all the best .And being here to tell my story
