Just a completely random thought…
I’m sitting here eating cucumbers (because I’m hungry and my blood sugar is too high for a 15 g snack right now) and I just realized I eat around the seeds and throw them away. Anyone else hate the seeds?
Anyone else have parts of foods they hate? Just interested in learning if I’m completely abnormal.
Sounds Good!!!
LOL Danny!
I also hate cucumber seeds but I love cucumbers. We only buy the English cucumbers for years now since the seeds are smaller and don’t have those spit-out shells on them. Unless you are talking about the slippery stuff on them or the taste of the seeds. Neither of those bother me.
We roast/spice pumpkin seeds. I only buy the no-shell sunflower seeds. You could do a poll. Hi Devon. Welcome!
Hmmmm, I also don’t love but don’t necessarily hate the seeds in cucumbers. I def prefer the outer edges. I may need to try the English cuc’s to see how they are. If any of you are gardeners they sell seedless cuc’s I think. I may try these this summer! I do hate though, onions, peppers, mushrooms, cooked tomatoes and asparagus scares me too much to try:)
Yes, the seeds are the reason why I don’t like cucumbers that much.
Now unlike the rest of tou guys here I like them…Ugh…Something wrong with me or what???
I must say, I’m happy to know I am not the only one who is anti-seed.
I guess Im a freak too? I like cucumber seeds…then again I like cucumber. Usually I will soak it a bit of balsamic vinegar(or any white wine vinegar), bit of salt, bit of sweetener, extra virgin olive oil. Sometimes I add tomatoes and fresh basil or dill. I like it chilled too =)
Sunflower seeds are one of my favorite low carb snacks!! Other than the fact they have a TON of sodium, they are definetly at the top of my list =)
