Barring any unmentionables, I think it might be a good idea that I’ve seen on other sites, like sparkle.com, where people exchange clothes as they lose weight, to save a little grief and money…
Well… I’ve seen it on a few sites, like sparkpeople.com, and forums for people who’ve had gastric bypass. I don’t want any money, nor do I want other people to shell out money for my clothes, either. lol I just thought people might be interested, perhaps.
Thanks for the congrats. I dropped down to 181, today… So total lost: 67 lbs. Pretty exciting. I started seeing some definition on my neck, this morning.
That is really amazing, Lizmari !
Now we are having the same weight
Good idea to exchange clothes.
I am still trying to lose weight, I have the same size already for ages. So unfortunately I can’t join in.
I have some 20 jeans & pants (some brand new) that will soon be too big. I’m a month into a “new me” through Weight Watchers and working out at a gym 3-4 times a week, and they are already feeling too large! I’ll be happy to box them up in a few weeks!
This sounds like a great idea, Lizmari!
Cheers, Margaret
Aww, thanks for the pretty congrats… I took a pic of my new found neck definition…
Check it out.
Awesome! I’ll definitely take ya up on that… lol If people mind styles, I suppose pictures can be posted… As for me, I just don’t want to be naked! LOL
I’d definitely be interested. Let me go through my things, and inventory them…How would we work them, exchange, cost, shipping? I’ve done one…so will try to remember how we worked it.
I’m not really sure how the little details work… lol But if you can remember, that’d be great!
I visited with some of the women in my exercise class, and they have done exchanges like these. It is usually handled individual through individual. You post what you have, sizes, brands, condition, etc., and an e-mail where people can find you.
Then decide if it’s going to be a “give away” or for money or what you want to do. They said, usually it’s a give away thing, because that’s what they would do with the clothes anyway, give them away to Sal. Army or a thrift store. So there’s one idea.
If that helps we could just start posting if you are still interested.
Lizmarie - great idea! I am looking for same sizes as you are. Today I’m heading to Dress Barn to exchange unworn items I bought for spring because they are too big. What an uplifting morning this has been. I look forward to needing to exchange the things I pick up today - in a short time. I am now an 18 from a 22 -so we are really on the same page. Again – awesome idea! enise
I am looking for size 22-24 or 2X skirts for work. I have been a stay at home mom for so long, my uniform is tops and jeans. I will be working for a political candidate starting next week, and need some more appropriate clothing…I have jumpers but would love to exchange or swap for some skirts. PM me if you want to talk.
I donated a lot of things, Cathy, but I may still have some stuff. I’ll look into it.
