Argh... first day of high bs in a while

I woke up pretty hungry this morning… made 2 boiled eggs and a whole wheat bun… dont think i cooked the eggs very good they were super runny… anyways after that i was still kinda hungry… craving some sort of fillup… gave into a bit of peanut butter (note to self: stay away from peanut butter) anyway from there on my bs has been ranging from 140-185 all day…
not to mention this morning i did 40 minutes of cardio and strength training.
yoga after dinner.
didnt bring it down AT ALL.
for lunch i had whole wheat crackers… thats it
I hate these days… just checked my bs then and its 175! i’m rotted

not to mention my boyfirends mother killed herself two days ago… and everything’s a bit of a mess…

I’m sorry for the high numbers, Jill. You have been going through some extreme stress lately, and I know you’ll get back to your usual super wonderful numbers. Stress always makes mine go up. I , too, gave in to the peanut butter last night and didn’t bolus anything for it and I woke up with a 302. It’s taken me all day to get down. I’ll be thinking of you today.

I’m sorry your numbers are up today Jill.I hope you will be able to get them down. You are going through a hard time right now.Stress can play havoc with blood sugars.Take care.

thanks guys, I love that this site offers so much support. an update, my sugars went down after a while, i’m 110 now. I took a nap and rested my eyes, it helped alot

Unexplainable highs that don’t respond to heroic amounts of insulin and exercise = the most frustrating aspect of Type 1 for me. You are not alone. Sometimes you just need to vent that out to the only people who might understand, as it makes you feel more in control of the situation. I’m glad I can be one of the people who can help you through that! Feeling like you are more in control usually leads to being in better control. Keep it up!
