Beating the Crap Out of Diabetes, Part III

So the summer of Diabetes Beat Down is officially over and what a life changing 180 degree turn around it was for me.

I just got out of a 12 week evaluation at my gym to gauge my improvements. I am happy to say in three short months I’ve lost 12 pounds of body weight, 6.5% bodyfat, and gained nearly 4 pounds of lean muscle mass. Carb restricting, decreasing my insulin intake, and tons upon tons of exercise was the key to my summer success. And I can’t forget the buttloads of protein I consumed daily.

I’ve donated all the size 34 jeans I was wearing in the spring to charity, and I’m wearing M size T-shirts again.

Can’t wait to see more improvements on the A1C as well. Let me tell you…kicking diabetes in squarely in the balls after all these years of anguish feels friggin good. Thanks again to all who said I could do it, and thanks to tudiabetes.com for the daily inspiration. It’s time to set goals for the fall, and keep kickin butt!!!

NO MERCY!!!

Way to go! Keep on kickin’ and inspiring others to do so!

HOLY MOLY! Terrific! What focus and determination! I love it!

You rock, Dino. Congrats. My best A1c ever came from regular gym sessions.
