Blood Sugar Readings

Does the PDM keep a record of you Blood Sugar Readings if you cheak it on it? If so, can you acess these reading on the computer via USB?

Thanks

-Lexi

Yes. It tracks up to 90 days of readings. The info can be downloaded to a PC.

thanks so much, can you print them out?

I cannot say for sure, but I can’t imagine why you would not be able to. Although my son, Caleb, uses the OmniPod, we use Macs and the software used to download the info from the PDM is not compatible with Macs so I have never personally used it.

Yes…you can print everything out…

Want to help yourself and make an impression at your next doctor’s visit? Print out the last couple of weeks…Bar graphs…pie charts…daily logs…etc. You can purchase the USB through Insulet and download the info Co-Pilot) for free by following the instructions on their web site. Hopefully this is helpful.

You can review all your records on your PDM 2 as follows:
>Home button
>>My records
>>>BG history for your Blood Sugar Readings, choose another category or choose All history

You can access your reading on a computer by using CoPilot software from Abbott. CoPilot software runs on a PC, but some members have posted on this blog on how to make the PC software run on a Mac. You need the following:

  • CoPilot Software
  • OmniPod Extension for the CoPilot Health Management System
  • USB cable

You can download the CoPilot software from www.abbott.com
You can download the Extension from www.myomnipod.com
My PDM 2 included a USB cable

I print the Logbook report for my endo and my CDE. I print the OmniPod PDM Settings Report so I have a record of my settings.

You can access your PDM data on a mac using Bootcamp with windoze installed. It doesn’t work if you are using an PC emulator like Parallels or VirtualBox.

Thanks!

Hi Lexi…As most replied you can check your readings right on the PDM but going thru the steps as Brad described. You can also hit the “trend” option and it will show you your avg. reading, low/high for a 7 day, 14 day, 60 day & 90 day.

I also do use the Co-pilot software and download the info from the PDM onto my computer, you can then print, or e-mail (although the files are quite large) a PDF version of the reports. I also keep a PDF version of my reports on a Flashdrive so that I have a history of my reports and logbook. It’s nice as you can do some differnt types of reports and like the others here I print these off when I visit my Endo as they are not hooked up yet to read the OminPod PDM like they can with other meters. If you need any help let me know!! Good luck!
