This amazing local Seattle organization is putting together another annual Summer Retreat for adults with T1 (and their partners and loved ones).
I’ve been attending and helping organize this 2 day event in the past few years, and it’s the closest thing to diabetes camp I’ve ever experienced as a grownup.
Last year was amazing, we had some interesting speakers who covered a variety of topics as well as some breakout sessions, but also just a lot of fun activities and opportunities to really form connections with our fellow T1s. I can’t even begin to tell you what it’s like to spend 2 days with so many others who truly speak our language and simply “get it”.
You can read a great recap of last year’s event by @mrmikelawson (who was also a great speaker) right here. There are also some photos of me, @Terry4, Norm and the resort.
And this slideshow captures some great moments from the 2016 one!
Check out the ConnecT1D Retreat page for more info and to reserve a spot.
Early bird registration ends March 15, so hurry up to get a discount.
I hope to see some of you there and please come and find me and say hi.
We have a block of discounted rooms at the resort for attendees but you must book before June 7th in order to get the discount so better hurry up!
You can sign up for the retreat here. Please remember to contact the resort separately and mention the retreat in order to get the discount on the room.
I’m so happy to announce that registration for the 2019 retreat is now OPEN!!!
The price is reduced from last year + right now ConnecT1D is offering an Early Bird Special price. I feel like this would be the perfect holiday gift to that special someone in your life with T1, or for yourself.
It would be great to see you again, @Terry4!
I actually moved to Central Oregon recently but I’m planning on making the trip up north for this because it’s so totally worth it.
