Carry Case

What is the best compact case for a pen and needles?

What is the best compact case for both two pens and the meter (strips, needles etc.)?

What is the best pen case that also keeps the pen cold?

3 different questions, for different times.

I appologize in advance if this has been discussed long before.

I am just new to this, and I have a problem carrying my pen + tip.

And on longer outings, my Dexcom needs calibration, hence a meter.

Any help is appreciated.

P.S. Does Novo Nordic supply any carry cases?

I went online to one of the diabetic supply places and got a little black case that zips shut. It hold 2 pens, about 6 pen needles, lancets, alcohol preps, and my meter (accucheck compact plus). It has a little outside pocket I put my log book and a pen in.

I have a PSP case that I use. Depending on the kind you pick up, you may have to cut out a flap, but it’s a hard-ish case and it zips without too much trouble. I seem to have good luck with game device cases. It’s not what they are intended for but if you are even the slightest bit crafty and can thread a needle you can alter them to work quite well. Mine came with 2 long elastic bands across one half, I just cut the end and sewed it to make a loop and my insulin vials and syringes can be contained leaving room for my meter, lancet, strips and a small pod with my pills.

Just call Novo Nordic and they will be more than happy to send you a carrying case for your stuff. Depending on the meter and the strips that you use will depend on if they fit into the case. I personally like the Relion case at Wal-Mart right now. It is under $8.00 where I live and it has a small ice pack in it. I carry my Glucogon, Epi-pen, meter, strips, lancet and wipes in it right now.
