I looked over the Dexcom CGM and was pleased with the site and even got an email from a rep from Dexcom letting me know that the info will be arriving in a few days!!! Talk about good customer service!!! They also said they’ll contact me after the packet arrives in case I have further questions. Wow!!! I am quite impress. I like how small the sensor is and the demo they have on the site on how to insert was perfect. They even had a clip showing from the stomach to inside the body so you see the little tiny needle go in!!! That is what I needed! To see the action of it. Dexcom has the Sevven plus out. I like that the sensor stays in for 7 days! Less insertion for me. I like how the machine is. It even has a trend of your glucose going up or down with arrows. And only need to be calibrated 2 times a day with finger sticks which is doable. I think I may have decided on the CGM. i do love how small it is. I do. So we shall see what happens after I take the stupid class at Joslin.
As far as the pump goes, I’ve been taking in everyones suggestions and thoughts in the post I have made in various places on here. So I will hope to have a clear decision before I see my DE on the 28th of October. I’ll be happy with what I am doing. I’ll be very glad once I switch over and make my life easier. My only concern is getting a perm job. I’m working hard to getting one. I hope to have one soon.
So I am still researching and learning. I would love to start going to pump meetings in my state so I can ask questions, see pumps in action, etc.
