Challenge! Big Blue Test

Marie suggested to me that we do the BBT again today. I’m going to shoot for 4x a week and will post my results.

Wednesday I went from 123-94, yesterday 104-83. Passed today because of a bad low.

Anyone else up for the challenge?

I’m in! 128-102 today, I had a few cocktails first and some IOB so my results may be a bit murky. Eerily, the endorphins feel a lot better than the cocktails?

I’m in. Not exercising today but I will start tomorrow!

chants “BIG BLUE TEAM, BIG BLUE TEAM, BIG BLUE TEAM…”

I’ve had other things going on, but will do again tomorrow. First time, I went from 89 (fasting) to 110 right after, to 130 half an hour later (still fasting), then ate, and had a 51 seven hours later, which I barely felt. Tomorrow, I’ll start higher, and see if the rise and delayed drop phenomenon hits again. I really didn’t like it. :frowning:

97-80 today. Played with 3 (formerly) tan/white dogs. They find mud when it’s bone dry LOL. (This is not from today, tg!)

Ok, I just did my first BBT today, and I intend to do it again today. 154-141 for me. I took a 20 min walk, it’s cold here, but the sun is shining and shimmering on the lake. I walked down to the house we call “squirrel house” and the whole time thought about the kids we’ll be helping at Life for a Child, the homeless diabetics in the Tenderloin who will get help, the clinics in Tuscaloosa and Pecos NM. Is there anyone else who would like to try for TWO BBTs a day? we are 4 days into this and we’ve only had 661 participating.

I was 139-142 today, as I woke up at 50 and had OJ to fix it, while sticking in a new sensor (which I’m sure will work wonderfully w/ all of that turmoil…), saw the 139 and ran out for a walk w/ the dog to try to get a “leash” on my BG too. I’m sure it would have been higher had I blown off the walk? I’ll do as many as I can but we have some stuff tonight and if I walk, the two tests may or may not happen. Not trying to poop the party but will do what I can!

OK, I did it again this morning. Started at 117 and ended up at 119, which for all intents and purposes is the same. At least I didn’t go up. But exercise is clearly not the show-stopper for me like it seems to be for other people!

Here are my Big Blue Nails for the Big Blue Test

Nice nails!! I went from 94 to 76 today but was freaking out as the CGM was reading 140s. Oooops. We had a wild night on the town last night so maybe the “turbulence” carried over or something. I also went on a longer, like 3.5 mile walk w/ the doggie thinking it would tire her out so she’d be calmer but she came home and raced around the house like a rocket, leaping onto junior’s tummy at least 5 times. Oh well…

I think the time change, combined with colder weather is not only messing with my BG but my dogs too LOL. Way more energy, and of course terrier trial season is over till next spring! They do love their laser pointer though.

Yep, the time change certainly messed me up. Today I took the Big Blue Test, including a good solid 15 minutes of exercise, and all my blood sugar did was to go up, up, up! I did not record it because this is not the first time I’ve ever exercised, and I know very well that it normally goes down, down, down. Maybe tomorrow my body will have adjusted!

I was lower BEFORE walking!!!
5.2 before (94)
7.8 after (140)!!!

Wow, that’s 3 of you who went up after exercising (that I know of). I think maybe it should be recorded to bring some realism to the results?

Tonight I went from 104 to 102, then high 120s for no apparent reason sigh.

OK, I recorded it! I went from 127 to 139, which was really unexpected. I’m thinking that the time change could have had something to do with it, but again – it’s always something!

UGH I think I’ll need to try it again today (it was my first day doing it need to play catch up here) It went up on me. Dadgum!

I’m gonna do the BBT once per day until the 14th. I exercise every day already… just keep forgetting to check my sugar 15 minutes into it!
