Cleo infusion sets

I have found the adhesive on animas infusion set to be weak... and if I'm swimming much it can fall off. It is also more difficult to connect the tubing than it was with my old pump. Any one tried the cleo?

I haven't tried the cleo, but I have noticed that animas sites don't stick very well, especially for swimming. What I use for that is called Tegaderm. It covers the part of the site that's coming off and sticks to the skin like crazy, so well in fact that it's hard to get off sometimes.

Good luck finding what works for you!

hi carolyn i use the Animas Ping and also found that the adhesive wasn't sticking. i have tried the cleo, and i do like it. normally i use the Radid-D by accuchek or the ContacD by Animas. they both have steel cannulas. the cleo is teflon and comes with an inserter, which is easy to use. my only problem was the teflon cannula. i think i must be allergic because after about a day, i start to get itchy, and my #'s go up. but as far as insertion goes, i really liked them. please let me know what you think of them, and good luck!!

I have always used cleos and LOVE THEM!!! I use a little mastisol if I think I might need it. I have never needed it for swimming, but if I travel to where the humidity is high, I need it then...hope this helps!
