Cold Feet and feeling cold

Last year, I had started to have freezing feet, now, I’m having issues with it almost everyday. I have been cold all the time. Sleeping with a heating blanket all the time on the highest setting, sometimes, I just can’t get warm enough and needing to take a hot bath to just warm up.

I’ve never been like this before.

I had talked with my endro and diabetic educator. They had advised that it maybe casue I had lost alot of weight, but I know that it’s not because of it.

I’v had my levels done and only issue that needs correcting is my vitamine D is really low.

I’m not sure where to go with this isssue. My mother had cold feet all the time and was always cold. I’ve noticed also, my hands get freezing also. I use to be hot all the time and now, i’m just oppisite at this point of time.

If your thyroid is ok ask your doctor about reynaud’s.

If it’s not a circulation issue (hope they checked this), I vote with the others about thyroid tests & Reynaud’s. Most docs only do TSH, which is useless. The definitive tests are free T3 & free T4. Sometimes you have to insist the right tests be done.

Losing weight–nah. That’s not going to make you feel that you’re freezing with ice cold hands & feet.

Just after I was diagnosed with Type 1 autoimmune diabetes, I was diagnosed with autoimmune hypothyroidism (Hashimoto’s Disease). My only symptom was TERRIBLE cold. I was always putting on heavy jackets, and had to wear thermal socks to bed. Once I started on synthroid the cold went away. I agree with others here–it could be Hashimoto’s or Reynaud’s. Be sure to get tested.
