I have a new Tandem pump this week. How long does it take before Dexcom clarity has enough data to show up on my desktop and/or phone? I can’t correct the date on my phone, (password has been changed). Is there any way to download data from my pump to the desktop? I use my phone as the receiver and can’t do it the way the dexcom website suggests. Previously I think the data came through bluetooth.
Yes, you can download the Tandem pump data. Login to source.tandem.com and choose “Reports” from the hamburger menu in the upper left of the page. Then choose the time period (Tandem arbitrarily limits reports to 30 days, so most months can’t be downloaded in a single file).
From the initial (“Overview”) screen you can print the report or copy it as text. If you pick the “Daily Timeline” tab there is an additional button to download the data as an Excel CSV. It’s on the upper right of the screen, I have to scroll right to see this button in a typical (not full screen) browser window. This report includes both blood glucose data and boluses (scroll way down past the end of the CGM data).

I’m curious. I’m also using Tandem pump and Dexcom. Tandem has an app called t_connect which includes all pump data and all Dexcom data integrated together. Is there a reason to still use Clarity?
Just to clarify, your Dexcom has a bluetooth connection to your pump. Your pump data can be uploaded to Tandem Source (formerly t:connect) by either the t:connect app on your phone getting the pump data via bluetooth or connecting your pump to your desktop via USB. The t:connect app uploads to Source roughly once an hour per this Tandem support article so figure a worst case of 2 hours for your data to show up.
If you are using the Dexcom Clarity app or web site https://clarity.dexcom.com you need to have the Dexcom G6 or G7 app running on your phone and used the app to connect the sensor to the phone with bluetooth in addition to the sensor being connected to your pump. The Dexcom G6 or G7 app uploads your sensor data to Clarity roughly twice a day unless you have Dexcom Share enabled, then it uploads every 5 minutes. Replacing your pump has no effect your CGM data showing up in Clarity.
Since it’s been 2 days I assume everything is probably fine now, I just hope this help you understand how things are connected if you need it in the future. Let us know if you still need help or have other questions.
Thanks everyone for the suggestions. “source.tandem.com” would not load on my computer. But after a few days’ efforts it finally worked so I have clarity on my desktop and on my phone.
Dexcom Clarity is a brand name for Dexcom’s reports. Calling Tandem reports Clarity is confusing. I get the temptation, I xerox, kleenex and tylenol all the time, and Tandem Source is a terrible brand name. This is one of those help us and your docs help you.
Did you get signed in to your existing tandem account okay so your new pump data shows up right after your old pump data?
You can also use Tidepool to download and generate reports on your Tandem Pump.
