I have tandem X2 and my pump records continuous blood sugars just fine. Same with the Tandem TConnect mobile app. However, the Dexcom mobile app on my phone stops recording for a period daily. It can be as long as 24hrs or as short as three hours. I have spoken to technical support and no solution. They have replace both sensor and transmitters.
I would love to be able to see the bs numbers on a day to day basis from Dexcom app.
Anyone have thoughts for a solution?
Just curious why you prefer Dexcom app instead of Tandem app on phone? Tandem app combines the data on one screen.
However, I do use xDrip (Android) as another app display for BG only, because it has better options to see history or can store notes/comments.
I don’t prefer it but like the info given. There is no reason it should not work. Just looking for a way to make it work.
I also have a Tandem pump and a G6. I normally look at the t:connect pp but also have the Dexcom app running on my phone. Why run both? In my case, while I prefer using t:connect, I have two reasons for also using the G6 app:
Particularly when driving, I like to be able to check glucose on my watch rather than fussing with a phone or trying to look at the pump. I think that o need to run the Dexcom app on my phone to see the data on my Apple Watch.
Secondly, one of my docs prefers Clarity to t:connect. So, I run both.
However, to the best of my knowledge, I don’t see Dexcom app dropouts of the type that you describe.
Do you get any Dexcom notifications or is there simply no number?
When the connection begins working again, does it “backfill” some or all of the missing data?
To the best of my knowledge, I don’t think that I see what you are experiencing.

I suggest that you delete some of the old transmitters from your Bluetooth. If you don’t do this regularly, it searches through the list and sometimes times out. When I start a new transmitter I delete the previous one from my Bluetooth.
I would only use the tandem ap, but if you want to use an Apple Watch, you need the dex ap in the background. I use sugarmate because the dexcom ap is painfully slow to update results
