I get my G6 sensor and Tx’s form the V.A, Pharmacy with no COPAY . My pharmacist just Ed ordered me 2 Tx’s . The company sent 4. This would be a 1 years supply except all r expire in June 2025. Which would be before I used even one of them. Fighting to get them replaced.
My quarterly Dexcom G6 order consists of 9 sensors and 1 transmitter. I’ve never ordered or received more than 1 transmitter at a time. Is the VA paying for 1 transmitter or 4? Is it usual to get a 1 year supply of Dexcom gear at a time?
I’ve successfully used transmitters after they have expired but you are in an untenable situation if you try to get warranty replacement for an expired transmitter. I think you’re right to get them replaced. Maybe this is their way of forcing you onto the G7.
Are you using a pump that communicates with your Dexcom transmitter?
Only in the past year am I getting them from the V.A. 1st shipment was for 9 sensors and 2 Tx’s. Then I got the second shipment of sensors I use to get them from a supplier in Arizona, But the V.A, too over, big thing is no copay.
I think that the VA Docs are confused about how to write these scripts. Dexcom should be directing them. Who should he contact? Dexcom? An Endocrinologist in town would certainly be able to help advise the Doctor. I’ve never seen this happen before.
