How does it feel to be
One of the diabetic people?
Now that you know who you are
What do you want to be?
And have you traveled very far?
Far as the eye can see.
How does it feel to be
One of the diabetic people?
How often have you been there?
Often enough to know.
What did you see, when you were there?
Nothing that doesn’t show.
Baby you’re a insulin man,
Baby you’re a insulin man,
Baby you’re a insulin man too.
You keep all your stuff in a big brown bag inside a zoo.
What a thing to do.
Baby you’re a insulin man,
Baby you’re a insulin man,
Baby you’re a insulin man too.
How does it feel to be
One of the beautiful people?
Tuned to strips and vitamin E
Happy to be that way.
Now that you’ve found another key
What are you going to play?
Baby you’re a insulin man,
Baby you’re a insulin man,
Baby you’re a insulin man too.
You keep all your stuff in a big brown bag inside a zoo.
What a thing to do.
Baby you’re a insulin man…

In My Life
There are places on my tummy,
My infusion sets, I haven’t stuck
Though I’ve tried them other places
They are harder to find when I’m driving my truck
All these places had their moments
With Sure-T’s and Silhouettes I still can recall
Some are dead and some are living
But In my life I’ll poke them all

But with all these unstuck places,
I will get to them, in a matter of time,
And I know one day I’ll find them
Cause I’ll stick them crooked and in a straight line
Though I know I’ll never lose affection
For those previous sights that went before
I know I’ll often stop and think about them
In my life I loved them more

Though I know I’ll never lose affection
For those previous sights that went before
I know I’ll often stop and think about them
In my life I loved them more
In my life I loved them more

Lady madonna, test strips at your feet.
Wonder how you manage to stay so sweet.
Who finds the money? when you pay the bill?
Did you think that test strips was heaven sent?

Friday night arrives without a small bag.
Sunday morning at the drug store for more.
Mondays child has learned to take his BS.
See how its plumb.

Lady madonna, test strips at your breast.
Wonder how you manage to test the rest.

See how they test.
Lady madonna, lying on the bed,
Listen to Dlife playing in your head.

Tuesday afternoon is never ending.
Wednesday morning mail order didn’t come.
Thursday night your prescriptions needed filling.
See how much it costs.

Lady madonna, prescriptions at your feet.
Wonder how you manage to fill the rest.

Come Together

Here come Diabetes
He come groovin’ up slowly
He will mess with your eyeballs
He want young and older
He will bring you down to your knees
Got to be a joker
He just do what he please

He bring no sunshine
He bring painful football
He bring bloody fingers
He shoot straight insulin
He say I know you, you know me
One thing I can tell you is
You’ll never be free
Come together, right now
Over me

He lose your needles
He will break your meter
He hate One Touch Test Strips
He one kidney wrecker
He will swell your feet below your knees
Chain you in his armchair
You can feel his disease
Come together, right now
over me.

He roller coaster
He got no BG warning
He will cloud your thinking
He one heart attacker
He say one and one and one is three
Got to be Diabetes
’cause he do what he please
Come together right now
Over me

Someone help me!! I’m destroying perfectly good Beatles songs, and I can’t quit!

Once there was a way to get my shot
Once there was a way to get my shot
Sleep pretty darling do not cry
And I will sing for a cure today

Golden slumbers fill your eyes
Meters awake you when you rise
Sleep pretty darling do not cry
And I will sing for a cure today

Once there was a way to get your blood sugar down
Once there was a way to get your blood sugar down
Sleep pretty darling do not cry
And I will sing for a cure today

I like that one

This is like my life story. LOL.

I’ve been having so much fun with these old Beatles songs that I have loved since I first saw them on the Ed Sullivan Show in 1964, that I failed to realize an incredible serious side to all this. And it was this song that caused me to think. About half way through it I realized I didn’t need to change any more of the words, because they fit perfectly as did the message they spoke. It just sort of became real, you know? Like it wasn’t a joke–it had a real message. You’ll think I’m crazy, I know, but it just touched me. Sorry, I have dain bramage.

Let It Be
When I find myself in times of trouble
Diabetes comes to me
Speaking words of darkness
Let it be
And in my hour of darkness
He is standing right in front of me
Speaking words of anger
Let it be

Let it be, let it be
Let it be, let it be
Whisper words of darkness
Let it be

But when the TuDiabetes people
Living in the world agree
There will be an answer
Let it be
For though they may be parted there is
still a chance that they will see
There will be an answer
Let it be
Let it be, let it be
Let it be, let it be
yeah, there will be an answer
Let it be
Let it be, let it be
Let it be, let it be
Whisper words of wisdom
Let it be

Let it be, let it be
Let it be, let it be
Whisper words of wisdom
Let it be

And when the night is cloudy
There is still a light that shines on me
Shine until tomorrow
Let it be
I wake up to the sound of music
Mother Mary comes to me
Speaking words of wisdom
Let it be

Let it be, let it be
Let it be, let it be
There will be an answer
Let it be
Let it be, let it be
Let it be, let it be
There will be an answer
Let it be

Let it be, let it be
Let it be, let it be
Whisper words of wisdom
Let it be

Awesome, Bobby!!!
