Does anyone else think glucose tabs taste better than smarties? Or am I just weird.
My choice behind candied orange slices. I like watermelon and tropical
Not weird I love the walmart brand fruit punch and green apple ones!! they rock!! Like a little party in my mouth lol
Back when I was first diagnosed, there was a particular brand that I loved and literally couldn’t get enough of. I haven’t seen them in years. I find most glucose tabs too chalky. I go for the Market Pantry fruit snacks from Target instead.
I prefer the fruit snacks for on the go carbs too, with that said I really don’t like smarties so if my choice is glucose tabs or smarties I’ll go glucose tabs all that way.
Oh yeah, forgot about that.
1 vote for Smarties. =P
I vote Glucose tabs… just cause i’ve never had smarties, and i like how Glucose tabs taste
I haven’t gotten to have one yet. I bought a bottle of orange ones when I was first diagnosed just in case but haven’t needed them. But the CDE said they taste like Lik-M-Aid - if you were a kid in the 80s you will remember that stuff. I loved that stuff. I wanting to try one of my tabs to see.
Try one if ya want. It won’t kill ya! They usually burn off pretty fast.
i love candy, all of it. i really don’t give a crap most of the time, but when i need sugar, i care even less about where it comes from.
i actually carry life savers with me. who knew they actually can save lives?
lol
For me personally… I don’t know how they can make pure sugar taste so bad. Hook me up with name-brand candy anyday
I prefer crazy core skittles. I will only eat the white smarties if I have to.
This! All the ones I’ve tried are so chalky. I’d rather have orange juice or milk.
I love the watermelon flavor glucose tablets!
Both my daughters (D and non-D) like glucose tabs. Better than Smarties? I dont’ know. Let’s go with “just as well.”
I prefer glucose tabs for my low treatment. Fruit punch (CVS brand made by Dex 4), or grape are my preferences. I also prefer them because you have to do a lot more chewing for the smarties (in terms of quantity) to get the same carbs from a tab.
