I only use the IV Preps for my Dexcom insertion, never for my infusion sets. I also regularly change my infusion sets after an evening shower.
I just use paper tape to keep my Sure-T’s attached. I also put some tape over the connected tubing, since I once accidentally hooked something underneath, and pulled the whole Sure-T set out.
IMO, paper tape is VERY uncomfortable on my skin. the only dressings that I dont feel are those that are super thin such as IV3000 and similar products. Doesn’t it bother you to have paper tape affixed to your skin?
I use the IV prep for extra hold and I change the lancet when I change my pump site. Easy to remember that way. They’'re cheap enough.
I used to use skin tac. It held on a lot better than ivprep.
However it was nearly impossible to wash off. So there’s that
I like IV prep a lot, it sticks, is not so sticky it is annoying and it is reasonably inexpensive. But I use Skin Tac because it is super sticky and I have learned to clean the edges with an alcohol swab to cut down on the edges grabbing my clothes.
