Any suggestions? I usually use the calorie king book, but would like to have something on my tablet without a lot of extras related to insulin etc. Just an app to look up foods while on the go. Thanks! A bunch came up when I searched, but would like suggestions for any that you guys are happy with. I'm not real tech savvy, so the simpler the better lol.
Easiest and quickest thing I have found for just plain old carb counting is the MyFitnessPal. I know it is android based for sure (I have it on my phone and tablet). I honestly don't remember if it was a free download of was a pay app.
I don't use all of it's capabilities but it is great for looking up items for carbs (and calories if you keep track of that kind of thing). It also will track each of your meals, etc and some other stuff.

I have tried myfitnesspal and found it pretty neat but use "Lose It" as, at least a couple of years ago, the last time I checked, the food portioning was more useful, cups for this and ounces for that. MFP may have updated but I'd suggest checking both out and seeing which one is easier to use! They are both awesome in that you can scan bar codes of food in packages to make updating the info easy and quick. Once you have most of your foods you eat regularly in, it's really handy and I have found it pretty effective.
