So back in May I upgraded to the Dexcom G4 Share (not realizing how close the G5 was to coming out or I would have waited. Well now I have two G4 receivers without share that I’m sitting on with no idea what I’m going to do with them. Anyone know of any type of program that may want them to use or some where I can donate them to?
Hi Cherise2,
That is really great of you to think of doing that as I’m sure that you could sell these get some decent cash for them! I think that our local endro clinic are looking to get some of these but had issues getting funding. They would lend them out to parents trialling CGM and/or use them for in-patient monitoring, etc. If you would be interested in giving them a good home then I will see if I can organise to get the postage sorted.
If you have something else organised then no problem.
Cheers
We encourage you to donate supplies to non-profits such as the Charles Ray III Diabetes Association, which accepts unexpired glucometer and insulin pump supplies, or Insulin For Life USA which accepts donated supplies for Medtronic insulin pumps and unexpired vials of insulin. These groups have existing protocols for handling these items and how they need to be sent to people who need them.
We cannot allow the exchange, sale or giveaway of items that require a prescription from a licensed practitioner (such as a doctor, dentist, ophthalmologist or optometrist) in our communities. Examples of prescription items include but are not limited to: insulin pumps, insulin pump supplies and insulin. Any prescription items listed for sale, exchange or giveaway by any member will be deleted.”
