Just found out my A1C was 7.7. I can’t remember the last time it was that bad. I started the omnipod in January. February my A1C was 7.0. Before January it was 6 and 6.5. Just found out my Dr. can’t hook my pdm up to get my info. Also trying to get a cgms, but my insurance is denying it. I know I need a different endo. Just had to get this off my chest. thanx
Sorry to hear you’re frustrated with your A1C. Been there. Felt that!
When I started on a pump many years ago, I remember my endo telling me not to be surprised if my blood sugars and A1C jumped around while adjusting to the pump. It sounds like this recent A1C would be the first to really show results since using the pump (the February reading would reflect pre-pump levels).
It’s highly likely, if you had such great control on MDI, that you’ll once again achieve tight control using a pump. I’ll be cheering for you.
