I am so glad that I found a place like this. I myself am not a diabetic, but my wonderful wife is. We have been together for the last 5 years and married for the past 4. She has type 1, and dose an imaculate job of controling it.
We have two kids now, ages 3 1/2 and 1 1/2, as well as a new baby on the way. My wife is now 2 months pregnent and doing well.
She has been a diabetic for more then 10 years and has just been an insperation to me and others around us. I am hoping to learn more from other people here about the things that work for differant people and give advice from our personal experiances.
It looks like a great community and we are glad to be a part of it.
Welcome Pete!! I’m glad that you found this community! I hope that your wife will join as well! You should check out the group for people with “Type 3 diabetes”, for those people who are the loved one of a person with diabetes. Also, we have a group called Oh!Baby! all about diabetes and pregnancy! I bet that your wife could give a lot of great advice there!

You definately HAVE come to the right place. I don’t have diabetes either, and my boyfriend has Type 1. I haven’t yet introduced him to the site, but its doing wonders for me! Somehow I don’t feel so alone anymore =)
